Printing Methods & Design Scale
Screen printing is typically used for designs intended to repeat on individual tiles, such as logos, patterns, or graphic fields. Digitally printed porcelain tiles are used when artwork spans multiple tiles, allowing imagery to align precisely across larger surfaces. Selection of printing method is determined by design scale, repetition, and intended application.
Are kiln-fired tiles permanent?
Yes. Unlike sub-surface or UV-printed tiles, our ceramic pigments are fused with the glaze at 1,400°F+, creating a permanent bond that will not fade or peel for over 100 years.
